God is ACCEPTING!
The word accept is defined as:
- to receive willingly, to give admittance or approval to, or to agree to undertake.
God takes possession of each and every person who will invites Him in.
- “For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:20
God will give us admittance into His holy family. He will approve us as one of His own… Joint-heirs with Christ.
- “The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ” Romans 8:17
Once we are His. Once we have been bought by Jesus’ “once-and-for-all” sacrifice… our precious Savior… our precious Redeemer… our precious Jesus Christ will sit beside the Father, His Father, choosing to take responsibility for our actions, pleading our case and restoring our relationship with the Lord God Almighty.
- “Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.” Romans 8:34
The question is not whether God will accept you as you are? But will you embrace Him as He is… standing… knocking… pleading… for YOU?
“Father, forgive them,” my Savior prayed
Even while His lifeblood flowed fast away
Praying for sinners while in such woe
No one but Jesus ever loved so
Blessed Redeemer, precious Redeemer
Seems now I see Him on Calvary’s tree
Wounded and bleeding, for sinners pleading

Father, Gracious Heavenly Father, thank You! Thank You for seeing me for all that I am and still choosing to send Your Son to die in my place. Thank You sweet, sweet Savior for willingly offering Yourself as my sacrifice. Thank You for completing on that day salvation and restoration for all. There is not one soul on this earth You did not die for. Lord the hard part is done! All we have to do is accept it.
You’ve promised that You will stand at the door and knock. However, You never promised how long You would continue to knock. Lord we are told in Your word (2 Corinthians 6:2) that today is the day of salvation. Now is the appointed time. Lord if there is one who doesn’t know You today, I pray that You would give them the strength to open the door and invite You to come in. We know that based on scripture the way to You is narrow, and that only a few will enter. Let Your children not become the barriers that keep others from You. Choosing who we will accept when you have whosoever will. (Revelation 22:17) Lord may they come! May we live lives that point to You and Your saving grace! For it’s in Jesus name and because of His sacrifice I pray these things, amen.
