A Place For EVERY Woman

My sisters in the Lord, regardless of where you are on your walk with the Father … There is a place for EVERY woman at the foot of the Cross.

The Letter H

god is heroic

God is HEROIC!

Heroic is defined as: having, displaying, or characteristic of the qualities appropriate to a hero; courageous.

What are the qualities you think a person is to possess to qualify him/her as heroic?  Take a minute and think about it.  Here are some answers I found on the net:

“Actually in mythological terms, Hero has a very strictly defined meaning– a being of extraordinary strength and courage, often the offspring of a mortal and a god, who is celebrated for his deeds or actions” – unknown

“Someone that puts the needs and well-being of others over and above their own, potentially at the cost of their own life… intuitively responding to an emergency situation” – unknown

“A hero is a person whose actions work to the benefit of society, not only physically but psychologically and philosophically as well. In other words, a hero not only has to act in a manner that solves a problem but their actions must inspire similar beneficial acts in others. A hero cannot be divorced from the legacy they leave.” – unknown

I can think of no one else more fitting than Our Precious Savior for this word to describe.

Matthew 1:18
“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.”

One parent mortal and one divine

John 15:13
“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”

Our emergency situation – SIN and DEATH and a life spent forever out of the presence of a God who loves us

He put the needs and well-being of others above His own.  It cost Him his own life, and He was definitely responding to an emergency situation.

Isaiah 53:4-5
“Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed.”

His actions work to the benefit of society, not only physically but psychologically and philosophically as well.  He not only acted in a manner that solves a problem but His actions have inspired others to tell His heroic story, even at the expense of their own life.

Jesus most certainly cannot be divorced from the legacy He has left behind, mostly because it wasn’t left behind.  He’s coming back for us!

John 14:3
“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”

Have you been Honest with Him?  Have you trusted in His Heroic gift?  Have you accepted His Humble and Honorable sacrifice? Will you let Him become your Hope, your Healer, your Happiness?  Will You be ready?  Will you be going with me?
I pray that you will!

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
