“A brokenhearted young lady will often say, ‘But he promised to marry me’. And the answer comes back: ‘Yes, but I changed my mind’. People do change their mind, and they do break their promises.
We are all accustomed to promises. We are also accustomed to seeing them made and broken. Anyone who has lived for a number of years would certainly never lay claim to having kept every promise made. There are many reasons why this is true. Sometimes we forget, sometimes we are negligent, and sometimes it may be due to circumstances beyond our control. Now a promise is of no more value than is the ability and willingness of the one who makes it to carry through.”

“For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20
God has PROMISED!
- God has promised to supply every need we have. – Philippians 4:19
- God has promised that His grace is sufficient for us. – 2 Corinthians 12:9
- God has promised that His children will not be overtaken with temptation. – 1 Corinthians 10:13

- God has promised that all things work together for good to those who love and serve Him faithfully. – Romans 8:28
- God has promised that those who put their trust in Jesus will be saved. – Romans 10:9
- God has promised His people eternal life. – John 10:27-28
These are just a few of the promises of God. The scriptures are filled with the things God is ready to offer to all those who are willing “to take up their cross and follow Him”.
Are you reaping the benefits of the things promised by the One and Only Living God? The Only One worthy of such worship and praise? Have you trusted Him with your soul? Have you surrendered your life to Him?
Read Leviticus 26
God is willing and eager to offer you every promise spoken in His Holy Word! All you have to do is acknowledge Him as God. Confess all your wrong doings, and trust in the sweet blood of Jesus to cleanse you completely.
Jesus sacrificed Himself in our place. He bore our sins, our pains and our punishment! All we have to do is accept His promise of forgiveness and eternal life. It’s when we give ourselves over wholeheartedly … that He can partake in His promises and rest assured that we are His and He is ours … AMEN!!!
“All to Jesus I surrender … All to Him I freely give … I will ever love and trust Him … in His presence daily live.”
Dear Lord, Sweet Forgiving Father,
Thank You for seeing us for who we really are and loving us, really loving us, despite what You see. To have the ability to truly love someone unconditionally, with no strings attached … What that must be like?
Father I’m thankful that one day I will too love as you do! I’m thankful that when that day comes, when Your precious Son steps out and calls His bride home, I’ll be able to partake in that promise. I’ll enter the PROMISED LAND! I’ll exchange “my faith for face” (Thanks Dallas Paetzold).
Lord as we go through this day, please search our hearts. Reveal to us those things that keep us from You and Your unbreakable promises. Oh Father, mend our hearts … mend our dreams … bind us to You! Father I surrender today to You. Everything that I am, everything I have and everything that happens … may it be pleasing to You. For it’s in Jesus name and through Your promise that I can confidently say … AMEN!
