God is ONE!
Not only is there no other, but He, and only He, is worthy of our worship … our praise … our honor … our service … our complete and sincere devotion!
Jason and I began this journey many years ago, but this past year in June we decided to forgo our former selves, take up our cross and, together as a family, follow him … wherever He may lead.
This past July God began revealing His bigger plan to us.
His plan … His dream for our family …
“Jason and Stephanie, I want your family to be a display of My splendor. I want the Davis’, Jason, Stephanie, Dallas and Mikena to be My face and a testimony of my love to a multitude of people.”
Since then, I have joined up with a fabulous group of some of the Godliest women I’ve ever met, the lovely ladies at … THE ENCOURAGEMENT CAFÉ with LUANN and FRIENDS … and in November Jason officially joined my side as a board member for the Café.
Today we begin a new chapter in the story of our lives. One that ranks up there with marriage and children … you know the kind … LIFE CHANGING!
Today, March 1, 2013, Jason and I packed the truck and headed to Winston-Salem for our first event with the Encouragement Café: The Unspeakable Joy Conference.
We never, in our wildest dreams, could have imagined the magnitude our role would be. Tomorrow we will sit with 900+ women and worship the ONE who made it all possible. The ONE who called to souls so long ago and set them on 2 paths that would join
… 2 paths that would walk with Him …
… 2 paths that would take us on this incredible journey to seeing His dream become a reality …
… 2 paths of 2 very stubborn and opinionated people, who are continuing to learn it’s better to die to anything and everything that takes our eyes off the ONE who has called us.
God today as I sit back and think about the changes that have taken place in our lives over the past year, I’m amazed at the ways we’ve seen You. It didn’t take long to realize we don’t have to go looking for You. You’re here … OBVIOUS, OUTFRONT and in the OPEN!
Thank You for trusting us with Your dream. May it be everything You planned it to be. May we seek it for You and ONLY You. Lord keep us humble. Put us through the fire. Consume everything that is who we are until ONLY You remain … until ONLY You are see … until ONLY You are heard!
Lord it is our desire that we would be lost in this world; that Jason and Stephanie would no longer exist. The day You saved us You wrote our name, our new identity, on the palm of Your hand … one specific for each of us. Lord may that name and Your Spirit become our ONLY identity!
I’ll never understand why You’ve chosen us to have this front row seat, to have this opportunity to see the very hand of God work, to be an active part of something that is OBVIOUSLY not of this world, but God we are honored, and we count it a privilege. There is nothing we have or that we can offer that would make us worthy of such treasure.
So … Thank You! With all of my heart, my mind, my body and my soul … I give it to you! Please take these feeble fish and these fragile loaves, touch them with Your hands and do with them ONLY what You can. So much so that it is OBVIOUS who is responsible for all the wonderful things that are going to take place tomorrow.
Lord move us out of the way! Direct us to our seats, and open our eyes that we may see Jesus , and witness this part of the greatest story ever told! For it’s in His name I pray … Amen!
