“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 5:14-16
Today, as I sit in my home, feeling overwhelmed and completely inadequate in all my roles, I look out the window and find peace.
From our living room window, I read these words on our church sign…
“Jesus” was born to die for each one of us
And oh how grateful I am for that today. To know that as I journey towards the promised land, regardless of how I feel or the choices I’ve made today… My Jesus… My sweet, sweet Savior… loves me more than His own life. He has conquered every horrible thing I will ever have to endure here on this earth. A song comes to mind…
Living He loved me, Dying He saved me, Buried He carried my sins far way, Rising He justified freely forever… One day He’s coming… O glorious day

What a glorious day that will be… when my Jesus I shall see… when I look upon His face… the One Who saved me by His grace… the One Who takes by the hand and leads me to the promise land… what a day… glorious day that will be…
Thank You Lord, for shining the Son’s Light within my soul!! May it radiate through all the walls that cast shadows of doubt on my life. For it’s in Jesus name I pray, amen.

Rejoice my friend in knowing that no matter what we do we are all inadequate. Thank the Lord for His awesome grace and mercy!
