Word for 2014:
ACCEPT
Bible Verse for 2014:
“He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD.”
Job 1:21 NASB
Theme Song for 2014:
Precious Heavenly Father… as we leave another year behind, Lord, I’m drawn to Your presence. I am also reminded of who I am and even more importantly Who You are. I don’t deserve Your attention, but I know I have it. I know Your eyes are fixed on me, and that Your ear is turned to me; just as it always is for a heart that desires repentance and restoration. And Father, tonight that is exactly what I am seeking.
As I bow before Your thorn I ask that You would cleanse me from the inside out. Remove any stains I may have gathered throughout my walk here upon this earth. Lead me to the place where things are made new. Create in me the desire to live blamelessly before You, so that You may be seen.
Father, as I have prayed about the new year, I have asked You to reveal to me a new word – a word that I can use to filter this year through. Thank You for answering this prayer. The answer does terrify me, but Lord, I am choosing to ACCEPT it – the word along with the scripture. All I ask is that my faith would be bigger and stronger than my fears, and sweet Jesus that will only happen through the power placed in me by Your precious Holy Spirit. I trust You Lord!
“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior”
For it’s in Jesus precious and holy name and because of His sacrifice I pray, amen.
