This morning my daughter burnt her hand on a hot pan. The continuous screams … the heart wrenching cries of “IT BURNS! MOMMY IT BURNS!! IT BURNS!!!” … While my heart broke for her in the moment, my mind took a leap in to the future of so many who will feel a burn that’s even more intense. The only difference is that there will be no cold water, ice cubes, burn cream, pain relief ointment, aloe plants … nothing … absolutely nothing will available to provide these precious souls with a moment of relief. Nothing will be there to take the burn away. The only opportunity they have to avoid such a horrible fate is if we determine to provide the burn relief now.

I don’t know about you … but today this places a permanent smile on my heart. I have been rescued by the Only One who can save me – and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. He rescued me from a life spent in torment.
Let Him rescue you today … He died too … did you know that …
