Chosen Out of All
Precious Heavenly Father… to think that I am a treasured possession to the One and Only True and Living God… the One Who created all we see… the One Who’s voice contains the power to command earth and sea to move… it completely blows me away. I cannot comprehend why You chose me! Why did You look at mankind and see me… out of all the other faces… What made You tune into mine?!
I can’t and probably will never understand the why’s or how’s but Lord I tell You this, I am grateful! Forgive me for taking this role for granted. Forgive me for operating like someone who belongs in this world. Forgive me for trying to fit in, instead of stand out.
Lord, I trust You, and I trust and accept this call You have placed on my life. And here today… July 24, 2014… I bind myself to You in every way possible. I surrender my will over to Yours and I commit myself into Your hands. I want to love You most and with everything I’ve got I want to follow hard after You. Seeking to love as You love… forgive as You forgive… accept as You accept… intentionally extending grace and mercy each and every way I go. I want my actions and my words to always be leading others to You, instead of pushing them away.
As I venture through this day, I pray that You will guide my steps, and guard each and every part of me. Cover me with Your protective hand. Keep me from temptation. Deliver me from evil! For You are King and Lord over my life, and greater than the one of this world. I proclaim victory through You and You alone. For it will not be by my strength, but only by You working Your will out in and through me. Open my eyes to see just as You see today. Open my ears to hear what You hear. Reveal to my heart Your truths that are written all over this land. And give me the wisdom and discernment to act as You would act.
I give You this day… I give You my life and everything that I hold dear and far away… Use it ALL to further Your kingdom. Humble my spirit, and allow me to see my weaknesses made strong by You. And let my words of praise radiate through whatever this day holds. You are my God… and more importantly You are my Father… Draw me and my family nearer to You precious bleeding side, Lord. For it is in the precious name of Jesus I pray these things, amen!
